What To Do On A Three Day Vacation To Orlando

2/28/2017

In a previous post, we talked about the fact that our vacation rentals make it easy to enjoy an extended stay in the Orlando area. When you stay in a Florida vacation rental, it’s head and shoulders above a hotel room. Instead of being crammed into one tiny living space, you have an entire house, condo, or villa at your disposal! That means your very own full-sized kitchen in which to cook dinner, a living room in which to watch movies, and even walk-in closets in which to hang your clothes! All of these things make it incredibly tempting to stay in Orlando for a week or even several weeks at a time, but you don’t have to stay that long in order to have a spectacular time in the Sunshine State.

In fact, we realize that sometimes people who book our vacation rentals only have a few days to spend here in Orlando. That’s why VacationPoolHomes.com has decided to put together some suggestions about how to squeeze the most fun out of your trip, even if it’s shorter than you wish. The following activities are our favorite tips for enjoying the best of what Orlando has to offer when you only have three days to spare. It’s going to be action packed, so book your vacation rental now, and let’s get planning!

Day One In Orlando

On day one, you’ll wake up bright eyed and bushy tailed in the uber comfortable bed found in your vacation rental. What should you do? Let’s start with some of Orlando’s high points to set the tone for your action-packed three day trip.

Coca-Cola Orlando Eye – The Coca-Cola Orlando Eye is a 400 ft tall giant Ferris wheel and one of the newest attractions in Orlando. From the top, you’ll have a bird’s eye view of the entire incredible city and all the adventures to come.

Madame Tussad’s Wax Museum – No trip to Orlando would be complete without experiencing this iconic attraction. See recreations of famous people from throughout world history. Don’t be surprised if you start talking to one of the wax figures because you’ve mistaken it for a live person!

Lake Eola – Located right in the middle of downtown Orlando, this waterway is a great place to spend some time in the sun. Rent a giant swan paddle boat, which holds up to five guests, and float alongside real swans.

Day Two In Orlando

OK after a day of sightseeing (and another night of amazing sleep in your vacation rental), you’re probably ready to really dig into all the Orlando area has to offer…and that means THEME PARKS!

Wizarding World of Harry Potter – If you enjoyed the books or the movies, you can’t pass up an opportunity to enjoy a mug full of Butterbeer in Harry Potter’s stomping grounds. Just make sure you order the frozen variety! You won’t be sorry.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom – Wanna take a walk on the wild side? There’s no better place to get up close and personal with wildlife than this iconic Disney property. Bonus! It’s open at night too.

Napa Rose at Disney’s Grand Californian – After traveling through magical and wild worlds all day long, you’re probably going to work up quite an appetite. Head back to your vacation rental for a shower and change of clothes before enjoying a luxurious dinner at this restaurant, one of Orlando’s finest.

Day Three In Orlando

Today is your last full day in Orlando! And we’ve got the suggestions that will help you make the most of it (without making you so tired that you sleep through your flight tomorrow).

Kennedy Space Center – We highly recommend taking the time to drive out to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral to marvel at the rocket garden and tour the Apollo 8 launch site.

Mall At Millenia – Did you get a little too warm while looking at all those rockets? Chill out with some much needed retail therapy at this spectacular mall. This is a great time to pick up Orlando souvenirs for your friends and family back home!

Gray Line Orlando Tour – If you feel like you’re running out of time by the end of Day Three, jump on this beloved bus tour for some motorized sightseeing. You’ll enjoy a boat ride through the exclusive Chain of Lakes and the opportunity to visit a Disney Town in the Land of Celebration.
